Hi Folks,

It’s hot!   But it’s cooler on the river.  The fog on the river is cool until about noon.  The generation continues daily and as of yesterday they have begun to generate on a 9:00 am to 12:00 midnight.  The Corp of Engineers has allowed an increase in the amount of water that White River can handle.  This could change slightly with a large rainfall in the White River Basin above Georgetown, but as things stand now we can expect this generation for the next several days.
This still allows drift fishing on the river in good water until about 4:00 pm if one stays ahead of the rising water.  Wading opportunities are on the upper river only in the early morning hours with the new water arriving at Winkley Shoal about 12:00 noon.
On this pattern the lake is falling about ¼ foot per day and the lake level is still about 10 feet above normal.
The fishing is good when you are in the right area at the right time.  Check out the current day’s generation and plan your location and time accordingly.  Drift fishing is the best option with some good fish being taken.  Jim caught this 23" rainbow on a recent morning trip.

Stay Cool and Good Fishing!!
