We seem to always want to see the “big” one.  I know everyone wants to catch a big fish but sometimes it’s all about the first trout you caught on a fly rod that you’ll remember the longest.  I had a good week with some new fly fishers.  Watching them land that first trout is what makes it worth while.  These all were successful and had a good time.  If you have a youngster, I can’t think of a better way than fishing to spend prime time with them.

The generation increased on Wednesday to 5:00 am to midnight.  This was due to an increase in the amount of water that White River could accommodate from the Little Red.  I spoke with the Corp today and they told me that the generation would be 7:00 am to midnight over the weekend and probably for the next several days.  This leaves the window for drift fishing in the morning and early afternoon.  Wade fishing is very limited with this generation schedule.  I’m still doing well drifting with large nymphs in about 4 to 6 feet of water.

Good Fishing!!
