The river is high with 2 generators running 24 hours.  I spoke with the Corp of Engineers and they informed me that this would probably continue until at least December 10th.  If we do not have any large rain events by this date, the lake should be back to the conservation pool level and generation will return to a demand for electrical generation only.  The forecast for the state shows a rain event for Sunday and Monday.  We hope that this will be south of Greers Ferry but the local forecast is showing 70% chance of rain for Monday.  I will keep you posted as to the effect this system has on the lake.

Fishing has been slow due to the high water with some rainbows and nice browns being taken on weighted nymphs and egg patterns.  This is by drift fishing on fast water.  There are no wading opportunities at this time.  I would advise using a guide or being familiar with the river at this level and fishing high water before getting on the river.  Be careful and respect the river during this high water!

Be Safe and Good Fishing!!
