The Corp of Engineers told me this morning that they had opened another gate this morning and the flow would be about 2800 cfs with this increase.  The heavy rain on Thursday caused an increase in the inflow of the lake and is causing the lake to rise therefore an increase in the floodgate release was needed.  If this stops the rise of the lake, this flow will continue over the weekend.  If not, they will increase the flow to offset the rise.  The river is clearing after the run off from Thursday’s rain.  Looks like no wading this weekend but drift fishing should be ok.
