The lake is back to normal!!  That’s good news for fly fishers.  Today the generation returned to the 3 to 4 hours of one unit generation late in the afternoon.  This opens the river to wade fishing for the full day……the upper river during the morning and early afternoon and the mid and lower river during the early and late afternoon.  March Browns, Blue Winged Olives and Sulphurs are all hatching so mayfly nymphs and emergers are a good bet.  Sow bugs and midge pupas are also producing fish.
Drift fishing continues to be good, with the river in good condition.  We’ll just have to see how much rain we get in the next 4 days with rain in the forecast during this time.  June is shaping up to be a good month on the Little Red.  I have open dates during the month so if you need to relax, catch a trout and enjoy a day on the river, give me a call.

Good Fishing!!
