If you don’t like the weather in Arkansas, or even if you do, just wait a minute and it will change!!  After my last glowing report on the Little Red, we had a 2 to 3 inch rain in the area last night and the lake is rising and the river is muddy.  I spoke with the Corp and was informed that they will be running, the one generator that is available, around the clock. This will clear the river, but make it too high for wade fishing.  Wade fishing may be available on the Norfork and White Rivers due to amount of flow at some of the gauges on the White River.  It would be best to check before planning a weekend trip.  There is also a flash flood watch for the area on Saturday, so if this rain comes on schedule, it will further affect all the rivers.  It was a great spring while it lasted, now we will just have to hope this is the last big rain event for the spring and we can get in the summer pattern.
I will update this report if there are any changes.  The height and flow on the White River may affect the releases on all the rivers during the next week, so I will try to keep this site current.  Drift fishing should still be ok on the Little Red after the water clears due to the fact that there is only one generator available.

Good Fishing!!
