The drift fishing has been good the last few days with quality rainbows and a few browns making trips successful for my clients.  The river is clear with the generation level being a full one generator or about 3500 cfs. 
I was informed today that the second generator is being tested and if all goes well, it will be back on line starting the end of this week or Monday.  It may not be used until Monday so that there is someone in the power house during the first few days of operation to monitor any problems.  This means for the next 7 to 10 days the daily flow will remain the same but the hours of generation could be shorter with an increased flow during this time.  After this period, the gauge at Georgetown on the White River could be low enough so the daily flow can be increased to allow lowering the lake level to the normal pool.  This means longer generation periods.  Hopefully there will be some windows of low water on the river while they continue to lower the lake.  One should check the generation at http://www.swpa.gov/generationschedules.aspx before planning your fishing trip.
