After a thunderstorm Monday night the river below Winkley Shoal was dingy Tuesday and Wednesday but with 4 hours of generation on Wednesday evening, the river is back in good shape.  The rain has been going north of Heber Springs the last couple of days without affecting the lake level.  Today’s generation was one unit from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The generation has been for power demand only and mostly in the  afternoon and evening, but the scheduled pattern for tomorrow shows generation starting at 5:00 am with one generator for 8 hours.  They are not keeping with the predicted generation the last few days so you should check the current generation before planning your day’s fishing.  The reason for this is probably due to hotter weather increasing demand for electricity.
The fishing remains good with good size rainbows and browns.  The brown trout seem to be a little more active the last couple of days.  The overcast conditions always increase the chances to catch a brown trout.  My fishermen caught 3 nice browns today along with several good rainbows.  The fish were taking sow bugs and midge pupas.

Good Fishing!!
