Wednesday and Thursday were good days on the river.  Generation is from 12:00 noon till about 10:00 pm with 2 generators.  This allows wade fishing at the dam until noon, Cow Shoals until about 1:00 pm and Winkley Shoal until about 3:30 pm.  The caddis hatch is still on with fish taking caddis pupas, red ass softhackles, and caddis emergers.  Midges are good at the dam.  Drift fishing is necessary on the lower river because of higher water due to late generation. Water is wadable on the lower shoals late in the afternoon for a short time until the noon generation reaches these shoals.
