The good news is the river is in good shape and the fish are biting. The bad news is the weather won’t cooperate. Every day the temperature has moderated and the generation is cut back, the fishing has been good…there just doesn’t seem to be many of those lately. We missed this last forecasted snow and the temperature is to be warmer for the weekend.
We are having a dry winter so far and the lake level is in the conservation pool which means that generation will be on power demand only. Morning and late evening generation is the rule during cold weather so check the generation schedule and pick a section of the river with the best fishing conditions.
