With the return of warm weather, the peak demand for electricity is now in the afternoons.  The generation schedule is now from noon to about 10:00 pm.  This should remain the same for the rest of the week with a new front to come thru the state on Friday and Saturday.  At this time the forecast is for rain and a possibility of severe storms on Thursday evening and Friday with rain continuing thru the weekend.  We’ll just have to see how much rain and how it affects the river. The lake level is 464.94 and falling slowly. The level of White River at Georgetown and the Little Red at Judsonia are keeping the generation at about 50% of the maximum.  Any increase in generation will depend on these levels permitting more inflow from Greers Ferry Dam.
The river is clearing and the fish are biting.  I fished today below Winkley Shoal and the water was in good shape and the fish were taking sow bugs and midges. There was also a caddis hatch and some fish were rising.  The generation water arrived about 3:30 pm and since I was wading, that ended the fly fishing.  The fish are in great shape and full of fight.  My fishermen are catching a lot of nice size rainbows and today, a brown and brook trout gave us a hat trick.

Good Fishing!!
