Update 6/13/2014:  We missed most of the rain on Thursday and the river is in good shape for the weekend! Not sure about the generation...you will need to check on Friday afternoon for the proposed weekend schedule.

This past week has been a roller coaster ride with the weather.  Each day had a chance of rain and severe weather.  The river was high due to generation lowering the lake and the rain again fell mostly south of the lake’s watershed.  Saturday the weather was good and my trip went well due to the fact that the kid’s derby stopped generation until noon and this allowed us to fish the lower water with good success.
The heavy rain Sunday night muddied the river especially below Sulphur Creek.  Again, this rain was mostly south of the lake, so the lake level did not increased significantly.   They have continued to generate on about a 12 hour per day schedule. I fished today (Wednesday) and had a good day with my fishermen catching a lot of rainbows and one nice 15 inch brown.  We fished above Barnett access since the water was clearer above Sulphur Creek.  After lunch we fished the Lobo pool with good success and the water was dingy but clearing.  If we miss a heavy rain tomorrow, the river should be in good shape by the weekend.  The lake is within a ½ foot of normal.
