Sorry for the delay in posting the report, I’ve been on the river a lot the last few days.  We were able to miss the heavy rains but have been having daily showers in the area.   The lake is within one-tenth of a foot of the normal level, so generation has been from about noon til 10 pm.  I am not sure about the coming week so you should check with the corp before planning your fishing trip.
The fishing has been good with nice size rainbows and a few browns taking midges, blue-winged olive nymphs and sow bugs.  The river is clear to slightly murky in areas where feeder creeks are bringing muddy water from the local showers.  Smaller flies in the upper section of the river and slightly larger in the colored water in the lower section seem to be the best selection.  My clients had a good day on small streamers (wooly buggers) one day last week.
