The river remains low and clear with about 1 unit generation for 2 hours in the afternoon during the week and 1 hour on the weekends.  With this generation, the bite is fair to good but good presentation is a must.  Small midges, sow bugs and pheasant tails are good choices fished with light tippet (6x or 7x).
The blue winged olive hatch has lessened during the past few days.  I have not seen a good hatch in the past week.  A few fish are rising, mostly feeding on midges.  I was able to catch a few fish on a grasshopper during one trip last week.  The catch has been mostly rainbows with very little action from the browns during the last week.
The shoals are shallow, so be careful running the river in your boat.
It is with a heavy heart I report that a friend and good client, Ken Novotny, was killed by a bear while moose hunting in Canada.  I will miss him bringing his son, Jack, to share the river with me each year for the past 7 years.

Good Fishing!!
