The river has cleared and the low water conditions continue with very little generation.   I was informed that Greers Ferry has the lowest percentage of pool level in the twelve reservoir district so we will have the least generation to conserve water.  This makes fishing more challenging.  Small flies and good presentation are very important.
The rain last night and this morning did not seem to affect the river.  It was a slow rain with little runoff.
The brown trout are still not showing up on the shoals.  What I have noticed is the rainbows are trying to spawn on some shoals, with my fishermen having chances at some large rainbows.  Finding the fish and then working them until they accept your presentation are the challenges.  The low water requires stealth!
The next few days are forecast to be cooler with lows in the 30’s and 40’s.  This may bring a little more generation.  Along with fresh water, the lower temperatures may get the browns moving.

Good Fishing!!
