The river remains clear after the rain on Sunday because they have been generating twice a day due the cold weather; two units for about 4 hours in the morning and again in the evening.  Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to be highs in the 30’s therefore; the generation will probably be increased during this time and reduced later in the week with warmer weather. With Greers Ferry reservoir being the highest in the White River Basin, we can expect daily generation.
The dam remains the only area for wade fishing during the afternoon since the generation has been from 6:00 am to about 11:00 and starting again about 4:00 or 5:00 pm.  The water is a little slow falling out, so allow about 2 hours after generation ends.  Drift fishing should be good by choosing an area of the river ahead of the rise or fishing falling water.

I am teaching the free fly fishing class at First United Methodist Church again this year beginning at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 19th.  Classes will be held four consecutive weeks on Thursdays.  If you would like to attend, please call 501-690-9166 and enroll.
