Who would guess, it’s almost Christmas!  My Christmas wish is that all enjoy a safe and merry holiday and enjoy all the natural resources that Arkansas has to offer.  We are blessed with an abundance of rivers, streams and lakes and I hope you enjoy and help care for them.  We all have a responsibility to leave these resources in as good or better shape than we found.
The Little Red is running one generator around the clock at this time.  Water is clearing after the rain over the weekend.  The lake is rising again (forecast to rise to a level of 465 ft.) and the Corp has informed me that they will probably open the flood gates today (Dec. 15) to bring the flow back to the equivalent of two units.  This will continue until the lake level is near 463 ft. and then they will go back to one unit 24/7 until the lake is 462.04. 

Drift fishing remains the only option and care should be taken to safely navigate the high water.  Large flies such as micro jigs, egg patterns and san juan worms are the best options. 

Don't forget the upcoming (free) fly fishing class beginning in February 2015.  If interested please call to reserve a place in the class.  The class last for 4 weeks ( 1 night per week ...2 hour class).  The last 2 weeks of February and first 2 weeks of March.  The exact dates and times will be set by January 1.
