This past weekend the fishing was on and off.  Friday was slow, Saturday was good and Sunday the wind tried to blow us off the river.  We caught fish but getting a good drift when the wind is blowing hard upstream is not an easy task. All in all, our bite came on large nymphs fished 6 to 8 feet deep. Mostly rainbows with three or four browns mixed in.
I spoke with the power commission and was informed that the target for the lake level remains 457 feet. This means that we should see some breaks in the generation with good fishing conditions  by Thursday, March 3rd.  Without any large rain events, there should be some wading opportunities in the coming days. Be careful when walking the river bank.  Due to prolonged high water, the bank is slick!
