The cold weather has kept me off the river since Wednesday, January 4. We had quite a bit of generation that day but by staying just ahead of the rising water my fishermen had a good day catching rainbows and a couple of browns. The best flies were a size 14 fox squirrel nymph and a #16 Prince Charming. The river is clear and generation has been reduced due to the warmer weather. Today, evening generation starting about 5:00 pm. Check each day before your trip. Warmer weather is forecast thru next week with a little cold snap this Friday. Rain is forecast during this time so watch for changes in water clarity.
