The rain Friday night has muddied the river but they are scheduled to generate Saturday with one unit starting at 2:00 pm and running about 7 hours. This should help clear the river. Generation is also scheduled Sunday night and most of the day on Monday. We’ll have to watch the next rain maker coming in Monday to see if it affects water conditions. The caddis hatch is still happening and when the river clears, the fishing should be good. Caddis pupa and nymphs are good fly choices with emergers working when the fish are rising. Since Greers Ferry Reservoir has the highest percentage of generation pool in this region, they have increased the generation from Greers Ferry Dam more than during the last few weeks. One needs to check the generation schedule before planning their trip. The amount of generation changes each day due to the demand for electricity.
