Looks like we're back to a normal hot summer in Arkansas.  Scattered showers have brought rain to some areas but no large amounts along the river.  The water is relatively clear with generation each afternoon from about 1:00 pm to about 8:00 pm.

With the heat, the best fishing seems to be in the mornings to early afternoon.  It's getting pretty hot out there from about 2:00 to 6:00 pm.  Small nymphs and soft hackles seem to be working best as the river clears after the generation.  The low clear water makes it a little harder to fool the fish so presentation is important.  Look for your fish in runs with a little current since this helps the oxygen content of the water.

Good Fishing!!
