With afternoon showers the last 2 days, the fishing has been good.  The thunderstorms have been heavy in select areas.  Please be aware that lightning can be dangerous in these areas and it's best to set out these storms in a protected area.(They usually don't last long and it's worth the wait.)  The river is still in good shape with a little tint to the water in areas.  The generation has been the same all week with a 1 hour spurt in the early morning and then the main generation beginning about 1:00 pm.  The weather and generation is predicted to be about the same over the weekend with a possible reduction in generaton due to demand.

The last two days the fishing has been great using olive colored nymphs in the deeper water above and below the shoals.  No hatches to speak of but the fish are really active on the nymphs about 2 ft. deep under an indicator.  The rainbows are good size and in great shape for this time of year.  The afternoon generation has kept the water temperature cool in all sections of the river and this has been good for the trout.

Take along plenty of drinking water and enjoy the day.

Please remember the river cleanup on Saturday morning, September 11 and come by the Ozark Angler to pick up your trash bags and be assigned a section of the river.  If you have a place on the river and want to clean that area that's fine.  Come by at noon and join us for lunch.  Dumpsters will be avalilable to deposit the trash!

Thanks and Good Fishing!!!
