I took two anglers from Kansas City Tuesday.  We fished from Lobo downstream staying ahead of the generation which started at 6:00 am.  The bite was fair on clear falling water.  The generation caught up to us about 1:45 pm below Dripping Springs.  They caught all rainbows and had action all day until the water caught us about 1:30 pm.

The lake is again rising due to recent rains and is expected to crest about 463.5 which is 1 ½ feet above normal.  This means that the Corp will be running the 12 hour/2unit generation from about 6:00 am to 6:00 pm thru the weekend. When the White River falls below flood stage at Georgetown, the hours of generation will increase up to 2 units around the clock until the lake returns to normal.  This increase could begin as early as the first part of next week.

Be safe on the river if you are out during the generation.

NOTICE: I will again be offering the free fly-fishing class at First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs beginning Thursday evening, February 21st.  The class lasts for 4 weeks (each Thursday night (from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm).  These dates are February 21, February 28, March 7 and March 14.  It would be best to attend all classes, but if this not possible. come when you can. To register for this class, please contact Greg Seaton at 501-690-9166.  If I am unable to answer, I will return voicemails or texts.
