The river is in good shape with minimum generation. With the forecast for cool, dry weather for the next few days, it should remain the same. I fished Friday, Saturday and Sunday with good success. The afternoons have been better than mornings the last three days. There is a blue-winged olive hatch in the afternoons but the fish don't seem to be keying on them unless they're hitting the emergers below the surface. I have been taking most of the fish on size 20 midge pupas.
I haven't spotted any caddis yet but the hatch should be soon. The midges are still hatching, mostly in the mornings.
I had a report that the disolved oxygen level was getting low at the dam, but the reading on the lower river is still good. The brown trout are beginning to get a little more active with some good fish being spotted lately.
Good Fishing!!
