An update on the water conditions:

The Corp and power department have both told me that we can expect generation between 10:00 am and midnight each day for the next few days. If this holds true, it allows for good drift fishing during the day. I am starting on the upper river in the morning and fishing the falling water downstream in the afternoons with good success. If you are planning a trip on the river, now would be a good time since this generation schedule will hold as long as the White river is at or above flood stage.
The fish are taking caddis emergers, midge pupas and sow bugs.

Update 5/13/2011

Due to overnight rain, the river is muddy. With the generation scheduled, the river should be clearing more each day. I have been notified that they will be shutting down one generator thru Monday due to modifying the turbine. This will cause one generator to run around the clock thru Monday. The schedule above is to resume on Tuesday.
